Ingredients:
1/2 pound brussels sprouts
2 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup vegetable broth
1 shallots, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon smooth dijon mustard
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method:
Step one: Trim sprouts and halve lengthwise.
Step two: In a medium sized pot heat olive oil over medium heat, add sprouts.Cook sprouts, without turning until undersides are golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Step two: Add the shallots, wine and stock and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low , cover the pot with a lid and cook the sprouts for about 15 to 20 minutes (or until tender)
Step three: Remove to bowl, add dijon mustard, salt and pepper and stir well.
